The dust has only just settled from our 6th birthday shenanigans, but we already in full throttle, as we build up to our 7th season of Minival, where we plan to unleash a whole new level of revelry, debauchary and carnival antics. Supported by our steadfast residents and very special guests who are ready to take over the controls at minival, let the freaks come out to play for the 7th time, as we bring you a 10 hour event across 2 venues to open things up. You know how we do things. Its going to be a wild day.
For the first time in Aberdeen we are thrilled, absolutely thrilled to welcome the legendary ÂME. Innervisions Labe head honchos with the amazing Dixon. Number 16 in Residents top 100 DJs for 2013. Since 2003 Ame have penned songs that once existed just outside club-goers imagination, songs that boldly combined floor-filling elements with conceptual conceits while maintaing their visceral appeal. As part of Innervisions, the collective/label they run with Dixon, Ame (pronounced “AHM”) offer glimpses of the future of electronic music through their live project, genre-melding compilations. In a genre obsessed with reliving the past, Ame are focused on whats still to come.
Whether on the Croatian coast or in the confines of a 6 hour Lost In A Moment Marathon, he’s used the warmly Innervisions aesthetic to craft some truly magical sets. Expect nothing less. Words can’t describe it. Your gonna have to be there.
